Our Approach to Planting Design

We change our approach to Plantings design depending on a project.

When we complete planting plans, we will always look to a selection of plants suitable for use, pairing with the style and character of building design and neighbouring areas. These may be hardy exotics, native plants or indigenous and ones, if suitable, recommended for use by local council in a specific area.We ensure a range of plants, sizes, forms, maturity, textures and colours will be used throughout the space.

Ideally, when it comes to the initial size of plants for most projects larger trees and installed shrubs are preferred for their instant impact. However, a much greater range of Trees is available in smaller sizes and in some situations like sites without irrigation, larger plants will be harder to establish.

It is also well understood the use of plants improves health and general wellbeing. In addition, the use of trees can reduce energy consumption related to heating and cooling. A garden with shade trees and hedges to mitigate the impact of win can decrease heating/cooling.

Unfortunately, unlike a building, a landscape design is not installed at its mature visions. Time is required for it to grow and mature.
